Bay City charged back in the bottom of the third with two runs of their own. Wood hit another RBI single and Cheyne Maier added an RBI hit to tie the game.

Both teams went scoreless from that point until the sixth inning, when Bay City scored the deciding run. Jaret Koin executed a squeeze bunt to plate a run and ultimately give his team the win.
