Sagedahl Fires Prairie du Chien Into State Title Game

GRAND CHUTE, Wis.--A lights-out performance by Chas Sagedahl powered Prairie du Chien to a 2-0 victory over Markesan in the Division 3 state semifinals on Wednesday.
The junior pitched a complete game four-hitter for the Blackhawks with 11 strikeouts. He gave Markesan hitters fits at the plate all game long.
Jonathan Dyer and Chad Mara provided the offense for Prairie du Chien with RBI singles in the second and fourth innings, respectively.
Markesan got runners in scoring position a few times, but was never able to capitalize and score a run.
Kyle Krueger pitched a complete game for Markesan and gave up two runs on eight hits.
Prairie du Chien advanced to the state championship game with the win. They will face either Unity or St. Mary Catholic on Thursday afternoon.
