Nick Winter Pitches Milwaukee Lutheran Into State Championship Game

Milwaukee Lutheran defeated West Salem 1-0 to move on to the state championship game.
A pitcher’s duel it was at Fox Cities Stadium. The two pitchers, Nick Winter for Milwaukee Lutheran and West Salem’s Adam Klos were dueling for 7 innings.
Offense was hard to come by for both teams. Milwaukee Lutheran finally broke through in the 5th inning. Christian Gerner drove in the lone run of the game on a single to left field.
Adam Klos would finish with 6 innings pitched giving up one run on 5 hits and struck out 10 batters.
Nick Winter would win the battle of two pitchers as he threw a complete game shutout giving up one hit with 8 strikeouts.
Nick Winter had the performance of the day on the bump; he took his no hitter into the 5th inning. West Salem got a infield hit to break up the no hitter.
Milwaukee Lutheran advances to the D2 State Final to play the winner of River Valley and Notre Dame.
