Ithaca Pounds Rib Lake in Division 4 Semifinals

Ithaca advances to the State Final with an offensive showcase in the Division 4 semifinals. They mustered 12 hits and 9 runs.

The Bulldogs put a 6 spot up in the first inning as they almost batted through the order without making a single out. Aaron Kepler singled in a run, Jacob Huebsch added to the parade and Ghastin Olson singled in a run. The Bulldogs would lead 6-0 after one.

The bleeding would continue in the 2nd inning for Rib Lake. Caleb Olson added to his RBI total in the second with a single. Cody Klossowski would then double to center field to drive a pair of runs. Ithaca had a comfortable 9-0 lead after 2 innings.

Ithaca threw three different pitchers to seal the deal as the three of them combined for a 2 hit shutout. Nolan Clary got the win for the Bulldogs. He managed to give up one-hit and strikeout two guys.

The Bulldogs’ top hitters were Aaron Kepler and Caleb Olson, as they both went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI’s combined.

Rib Lake got shutout on the day and could only muster two hits.

Ithaca will play Rio tomorrow at 9am at Fox Cities Stadium in the Division 4 state championship game.
