Hitters Baseball Opens Top Class Facility

By Spencer Flaten, lead writer

The Hitters Baseball Academy opened a new training facility in September, and Wisconsin baseball is already benefiting from it. The facility, which is located in Caledonia, is without a doubt one of the nicest training centers in the state.

The two-story building is fully equipped with an entire turf infield, batting cages, pitching mounds, a weight room, team store and a concessions stand, all of which are state of the art.

Teams and players of all ages can use the facility. Numerous youth teams from the area as well as players from all over train with the Hitters, especially in the winter and early spring. Players can participate in strength and conditioning programs offered by the staff in addition to traditional baseball workouts.

Those who choose to take advantage of the facility can gain an edge over their peers in Wisconsin. It is obviously difficult to find time and a place to practice baseball in the long winter months. The Hitters facility makes that point moot, since players can work on all facets of their game at any time of the year.

The Hitters have been around since the 1990s, and have seen dozens upon dozens of college players come through their ranks over the years. Their travel teams, led by highly experienced coaches, play in tournaments across the country and compete at the highest level.

Former Hitters players that have played professional baseball include Jason Jaramillo and Lee Jaramillo, among others. Former Brewers infielder Craig Counsell and current Brewers general manager Doug Melvin have both visited the facility and been very impressed.

Above all else, the facility allows players to learn how to improve their game and propel themselves to the next level by providing them with an opportunity that has never been available (to this extent) in Wisconsin before.

If you're a baseball player in southern Wisconsin, it would absolutely be worth your time to check out the facility. You might just see that the program offers you the opportunity and tools to improve your game like you never knew was possible.
