Head Coach Circuit Heating Up

The Newsroom

The head coach circuit around Wisconsin has been heating up in recent weeks. Here's a look at some of the moves that have already been made:

Green Bay Preble has hired Andy Conard, the head coach of Green Bay Notre Dame for the past 8 years. Conard led the Tritons to the state tournament in 2011, 2013, and 2014. They reached the state championship game in 2013, but fell in the semifinals both other times. During his time at Notre Dame, Conard won one conference championship, 5 regional titles, and 3 sectional titles.

Hortonville's Greg Yeager will attempt to fill the shoes of the legendary Don Williams, who retired last spring. Williams is the winningest coach in Wisconsin history, posting a 586-160 record throughout his historic career. Yeager, who was the Polar Bears' JV coach last season, will take over the varsity squad this spring.

La Crosse Central has completed its search for a new head coach. While no name has been released yet, sources say that the new coach has experience at the college level as well as in the Northwoods League.
