The 2016 spring baseball season is all wrapped up, and now it's time to review all that happened during the course of the year. Our All-Wisconsin teams have been selected, and they have some serious star power. The best of the best are represented, and they all had fantastic seasons. In this edition of the All-Wisconsin teams, you'll find the third team.

Catcher: Garrett Gilbert, Westosha Central

Gilbert was a slugger for the Falcons this spring. He batted .398 with 17 extra-base hits, including five home runs. He drove in 25 runs, and posted a .495 on-base percentage. This was only his junior season, so he’ll be back for Westosha Central next year. He’s currently not committed to a college.

Infielder: Andrew Buran, Lake Country Lutheran

Buran finished off a great career at Lake Country Lutheran with a strong senior season. He batted .440 for the Lightning with 15 extra-base hits and 37 RBIs. He also stole 10 bases. He’ll play baseball at Grand Valley State next year.

Infielder: Blake Margis, Coleman

Margis was a force to reckoned with for Coleman this season. He hit .527 with 12 extra-base hits and 33 RBIs. His on-base percentage was .563 this spring. His efforts helped the Cougars finish with a 24-2 record this year. He will attend Northeast Wisconsin Technical College next fall.

Infielder: Zac Stange, Eau Claire North

Stange led the Huskies to the state tournament for the first time since 2011 hitting from the top of the lineup. He batted .459 with 24 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. This was his junior season, so he’s got another year of eligibility for North.

Infielder: Bryan Sturdevant, Burlington

Sturdevant capped off his high school career with a state title for Burlington. He hit .481 for the Demons with 14 extra-base hits and 22 RBIs this season, which made him one of the top hitters on the best offense in the state. He will play baseball at UW-Whitewater next year.

Outfielder: Gus Turner-Zick, Stevens Point

Turner-Zick emerged as a key player for the Panthers this season. In conference play alone, he batted .488 with 11 extra-base hits, 17 RBIs, and six stolen bases. He was a big reason why SPASH went undefeated in conference play. This was his junior season, so he will be around again next year.

Outfielder: Nick Elsen, Kenosha Indian Trail

Elsen, a Kent State commit, had a terrific year for the Hawks this year. He batted .396 with 21 extra-base hits (including four home runs) and 38 RBIs. He also stole 9 bases. He is only a junior this year, so he’ll return for Indian Trail next season.

Outfielder: Mike Seveska, St. Mary Catholic

Seveska was a key player for St. Mary Catholic who helped the Zephyrs go undefeated this year. He hit .486 with 12 extra-base hits (including three home runs) and 33 RBIs. This was his final season in high school.

Pitcher: Nate Brown, Arrowhead

Brown was part of a fearsome one-two punch in the Arrowhead pitching staff. He went 7-1 this spring in 55 innings with a 1.14 ERA. He struck out 74 batters and walked just 19. He will play baseball at the University of Florida next year.

Pitcher: Jacob Lindemann, Burlington

Lindemann was the ace for the state champion Burlington Demons this season. He was 10-1 with a 0.87 ERA in 64.1 innings. He tallied 74 strikeouts and walked only 20 batters. He is just a junior, so he’ll return for the Demons next year. He’s already committed to Wichita State.

Pitcher: Chas Sagedahl, Prairie du Chien

Sagedahl was the crown jewel in the Blackhawks’ pitching staff this spring. He went 9-0 in 60.1 innings with a spectacular 0.34 ERA. He punched out 84 batters and surrendered just 10 walks throughout the season. This was his junior season, so he’ll be back next year.
